Emotion Poetry & Prose

By Carrie-ann Sudlow

Evening light

August20

Out in the sky I see two sources of light,
one fading sun and one approaching night.

A matter of minutes will tell them apart,
for the sun starts to diminish leaving a work of art.

Bright lights across the river start to shine bright,
warm lit houses settling in for the night.

It was just a few moments  I spotted the moon,
now it hangs so domineering, day has ended too soon
